1972 – Carolina Wholesale Is Founded

In 1972, the Hank Welfare Company (later to be renamed Carolina Wholesale Office Machines) is founded in Charlotte, North Carolina.

1973 – Arlington Industries Is Founded

In 1973, to meet the distribution needs of imaging resellers, Arlington Industries was formed in Chicago, Illinois.

1981 – Carolina Wholesale Brand Is Officially Adopted

Hank Welfare Company is renamed Carolina Wholesale Office Machines Co. and Sales Manager Larry Huneycutt purchases 50% of company and is promoted to Vice President.

1998 – Digitek Computer Products is Founded

Founder Paul Martorana commences distribution of imaging products to supplies resellers and government accounts from Sterling, VA.

2000 – Larry Huneycutt Becomes Sole Owner of Carolina Wholesale

Vice President and 50% owner, Larry Huneycutt assumes ownership of one of the fastest growing imaging distributors in the USA.

2003/04 – Carolina Wholesale Acquires Arlington Industries

CWG owner Larry Huneycutt expands national reach and market share with Arlington acquisition and grows to 5 distribution centers.

2012 – Arlington Industries & Carolina Wholesale Launch MPS Program

To enable imaging resellers to grow their recurring revenues amidst the growing demand for Managed Print Services, Ctrl-Prt MPS infrastructure is launched.

2016 – Carolina Wholesale Group Acquires Digitek

CWG owner Larry Huneycutt makes strategic acquisition of Digitek, an imaging consumeables distributor based in Dulles, VA.

2019 – ARLINGTON Becomes Super Distributor

The “POWER of 3” distribution company is formed as the brands of Arlington Industries, Carolina Wholesale and Digitek are combined into ARLINGTON.

2024 – ARLINGTON remains “Your Best Source” in distribution

After over 50 years in business, ARLINGTON is a “One-Stop-Shop” with five coast-to-coast distribution centers and 1 to 2 day delivery to 99% of delivery locations in the U.S.
